I was digging through my stash of parts today and found an old Williams System 7 MPU. What’s a bit unique about it is that it’s very original. As best I can tell, it’s never seen a soldering iron. And there’s zero battery damage. I can’t confirm if it works as I don’t have any System 7 machines. Sold my Black Knight years ago...
I guess I’m wondering on the value, and if anyone wants it. Before I get flamed, I’m well aware that the board would need some work to make it perfect. Specifically, if I were going to use it, I’d replace all of the headers, sockets and would install nvram.
Maybe I’m a purist at heart. I love getting old boards in good shape, reworking them and knowing they’ll last another 20 years.
Wish I had a way to test it....
