    Hello,
I need a new knocker assembly for my Gorgar. Not sure which ones will work well for this pin. I have the Rottendog CPU/Driver board installed. I heard the old Williams knockers were very weak.
    Will this work OK? https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/500-5081-00
    Thanks!

Yes, the original Williams Sys 3-6 knockers are kinda weak, just how they are. The original assembly is p/n B-8047, and I don't think anybody carries them anymore. Here's one on ebay, but not the correct coil. ebay.com link:

The original coil is a SA-2-23-850 with diode. Here is a pic of the one in my Firepower.

I put a Bally knocker from an early SS machine in my Flash that also uses a Rottendog mpu/driver board. It is loud like a Bally! I mounted the knocker inside the lower cabinet on the right side in basically the same place that Bally used.

Here is a picture of the Bally knocker mounted in a Flash pinball machine. I got the knocker used somewhere and the strike plate came from Marco. It sounds great!

Just about any knocker assembly can be made to work.
Just ensure that the coil has a diode and that you wire it correctly relative to diode orientation (power goes to banded side).
