    I have a system 4 board (from a Disco Fever), the MC 6875 clock chip had corroded legs. This clock chip is unobtanium.

    I've read that Williams stopped using this chip when they went to the 6802/6808 CPU chips as the clock chip was built in to the newer CPU.

    So can I replace the CPU chip (currently a 6800), with a 6802 or 6808 and be good to go?

    No, 6802/6808 are not pin compatible with 6800.

    Good point. Restorpinball are a respected source for parts in France who I have used many times without issue. (No connection with them).
