No easy way that I've ever been able to work out I'm afraid. It's a confusing system. No wonder they made a song and dance about coin door programming.

Press the bottom push button - this is diagnostic.

Set the data and function dip switches. The top dip switch bank is data, the bottom is function.

Set data to 00010101 for S&R lit together, left to right is bottom to top of switch
Set data to 00100101 for S&R lit seperately
- both the above are 5 ball

Set function to 00010010 for either of above

Press top push button - this is enter

Leds should blink twice to indicate new settings are taken.

Note that if you are trying to follow the manual then chart 1 is for function only and is in binary, ie ten = 00001010. Chart 2 is for data and is in BCD, ie ten = 0001000

My guess is the designers were experimenting with an early version of crack

There are also a couple of versions of the manual floating around so different versions may help clear the mist. Good luck.
