Hello All-
I took in an old Williams Hot Tip (system 3) from a gentlemen, and am working on fixing it. In short, it has a lot of connector issues.
On the power supply board (connector 3J3, bottom left - see pic), one of the pins has two wires connected to it (6.3VAC). That pin was very damage, so someone pulled the two wires out of the molex connector, cut the end of the connector off, and literally connected an alligator clip jumper wire on the remaining header pin and the 2 wires. Yikes!
Needless to say, I'm replacing the header and the connector. My question is this: how do I get two wires connected to the same pin? My though initially is to solder the two wires together, with a single pig tail that I'll crimp to the trifurcon pin. I just don't see how I can crimp both wires into one trifufcon pin. Just checking before I do it, as I'm not sure if there is a better or proper way to approach it.
Thanks in advance for any help!
James
