This may sound stupid, but it got me once when I rebuilt my sorcerer. Make sure 1J10 (switch row) isn't plugged into 1J9 (opto, Not used) The game will still "play" but I was chasing really strange switch issues until I discovered my mistake. Only made it once though haha.
