While working through several other problems on this beast, I noticed the Timer Unit looks like it's missing the arm that hits the switch during rotation. Am I right? Why would someone remove it? Also, what does the Timer Unit do? It's not listed in the Instruction Manual for the game like the other units. Thanks

Anyone?

The same arm can probably be found on the Replay Unit. You could temporarily borrow it from the Replay Unit to try it on the Timer Unit. Your photo seems very convincing that an arm belongs there! If you can confirm that the game plays "better" with the arm in place, you can probably get the necessary parts from a good hardware store. I think its just a bolt, nut, and insulating spacer.

Yep, missing the pin on the wheel for sure. Not sure of the part number as the catalog is not specific. As mentioned other williams stepper units from that era would use the same pin as well, a hardware store run is a good idea too.

I have a disgusting Suspense that I recently picked up on the free. After typical adjustments, it seems to play fine. This is how my Timer Unit looks. Perhaps it regulates how long the roulette wheel spins?

That’s what I needed. I’m off to the hardware store.

Thanks

Thanks. Any chance you can get a shot if these switches? I’m missing some wires

Missing pin on timer unit wheel is resolved. Made a pin using a 4-40 1" screw and nut covered with heat shrink. Cleaned the stepper at the same time and all seems go to go. The unit controls the enclosed bonus ball spinner.

(I'll open a new issue for the wiring topic covered at the end of the post)

Thanks

Just being curious, what is the purpose of the timer unit? Instruction manuals relay diagram shows nothing related to timer unit, and I cant find a complete schematic.

Edit: OK, just read the last post, so it controls the spinner spinning time?
