My first pin was a Williams Super Star also! It also housed a family of mice at some time. Pretty much the same story as you. Picked it up in 2009 for $150. It was working about 75%. I cleaned it all up, installed new rubbers and bulbs, and section by section got everything working! My playfield however was still in very good condition compared to yours.

I still own the pin and I still love the gameplay. I remember playing way back in the 70's during my high school days. Love collecting the double special with the DING DING DING going and then KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!!! And the 3 pop ups that block the outlanes and the flipper drain are just classicly priceless!! Just installed Comet warm white Retro LEDs throughout the entire pin to keep it running cool. Also added a cool disco ball topper!

It's looking great!! Just think of it as a players machine. Any thing you do to it cosmetically is just there to make it look a bit better. Plus once you are finished you will have the satisfaction that you are the one that made her a bit more pretty again. It now also becomes your own piece of artwork!
