Quoted from canoncitypb:I believe i have checked what you suggested. Here are the results.
I disconnected 2J12. pins 6 and 7 go to the left sling and top right pop. I did not get continuity with my multi-meter with ground.
I used my logic probe.
Transistor Q10 runs the top center pop (working properly). It is connected to pin4 on IC9 and had a low reading.
Transistor Q2 which runs the left kicker (stuck on) is connected to pin 1 on IC9 and has no reading (not lighting high or low on my probe)
Transistor Q4 which runs bottom left jet bumper (working properly) is connected to pin 13 on IC8 and reads low.
Transistor Q8 which runs the top right jet bumper (stuck on) is connected to pin 10 on IC8 and had no reading.
I also checked where IC7 and IC6 were connected to IC9 and IC8.
Results:
IC7 pin 6 (high) connected to IC9 pin 9 (high)
IC7 pin 8 (high) connected to IC9 pin 12 (high)
IC7 pin 11 (high) connected to IC9 pin 5 (high)
IC6 pin 3 (low) connected to IC9 pin 2 (low)
IC6 pin 6 (low) connected to IC8 pin 9 (low)
IC6 pin 8 (low) connected to IC8 pin 12 (nothing) Tested these for connectivity with multi-meter. sounded as connected.
IC6 pin 11 (high) connected to IC8 pin 5 (high)
IC9 pin 1 (none)
IC9 pin 3 (low)
It seems to me that IC8 and IC9 are bad.
What does a reading of nothing mean? is that leg just fried?
I have written some test ROMs from scratch that can be run in the game. I recommend that you try the ROMs in order - this will help you KNOW that other parts of the system are working correctly. There is a "12-solenoids" ROM that you may find useful. Check the "12-solenoids.txt" file for additional information, and how to use it.
You can download them from here: http://pincoder.reversion.ca
There is also a thread on this site where you can leave some feedback: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/new-williams-system-6-in-game-test-roms
I hope this helps
