Hello. First time here. Thank you in advance. Ive been looking alot on this website about troubleshooting. Rollergames

The flippers always blow either F7, F6, or F5. sometimes F7 wont and F6 will and vise versa. Same for F7/F5 respectively.

Ive visually inspected all wiring harnesses. I have been able to verify the EOS for each coil works. Placing an insulator between the EOS on all coils lets the secondary winding do its business with a weak pull. I can hold the button down and no fuses blow. When I remove the insulators they blow fuses again.

Another thing that is odd when I manhandle the transformer I get different voltages. sometimes 0 or 84 ish VAC. never 50VAC when load is applied. I used the transformer jumper and removed it from the 103.5 VAC to 115VAC and this is where i get 64VAC consistently now after opening the secondary winding just beneath the paper and plastic. I know transformers rarely go bad. I am hard to swallow this as being a possibility also.

The bridge rectifiers on the power board are working fine. I removed them and tested them. I did the same with the coils and all the ohms are the same across all 3 legs across all 3 coils. I checked those diodes as well. They all needed resoldered as it looked ugly. I also tested additional diodes that came from the Q17 transistor to see if those failed somehow and were letting current backwards but nothing.

I replaced the backbox interconnect board because it had a burnt edge connector on J9 and there were about 5 jumpers on the backside of the board between J10 & J5.

I have been racking my brain over and over and over. There is a Solenoid 9 transistor on the MPU (Q17) that is blown, but don't see anywhere in the circuit that would even come close to the flipper coils.

an odd thing whenever, sometimes a fuse blows when i push the left flipper button, the 89 bulbs turn on from the backbox.

Ive only connected the minimum connectors necessary to get the flippers running and still no go. any help or clarity would be appreciated. Im just getting stumped.

try posting in 'TECH Alpha-Numeric, you may get more views?

from you removing the EOS switches and no fuses blowing it sounds like the issue is right there.

curious on the switch and mounting screws?

couple of pics would help

Did you rebuild the flippers?
