My Williams Stardust is working very well. Now I'm adding the stuff just to make it complete, like match, high score, and number of replay games for a quarter.

There is only one 25 cent acceptor set to 2 replays for 25 cents. But it seems to over count; most of the time 10 replays per 25 cents (2 for the coin and 8 for the Impluse B pulsing five times?). But when the 2 through 6 cams actuates the 25 cent relay, the Make-Break switch closes one of the four players. Only one player is selected. Does the replay allocate among the four players?

In other words what exactly does the 2-6 replay pulse do, other than close the 25 cent relay? And how does it move the Replay Step Up Coil when Imp. B will pulse five times?

I'm missing the link with what the adjustment jack selection 2 to 6 actually does, other than closing the relay!

    Hi redrock
to Your last sentence in post-1: The adjustment jack selection does NOT closing the 25-Cent-Relay - it cuts the Self-Hold-Circuitry of the 25-Cent-Relay. You throw-in a coin - the "25 Cent Coin SW." (Your first JPG) closes for a moment - then opens again as the coin has fallen through --- initial current flows to coil on the relay - it pulls-in - all its switches actuate - so "25 Cent RE." switch (Your first JPG) closes therefore "Self-Hold-Current" is established - the relay stays pulling. How long does this Self-Hold-Current exists ? THIS is determined by the opening of Score-Motor-Switch (Your first JPG) --- motor-switch-5C or motor-switch-4B or or or.
See Your second JPG - motor-imp-B fires FIVE shots towards the coil on the Replay-Step-Up-Coil --- but when the 25-Cent-Relay is made to quit pulling after 2 or 3 or 4 shots: The rest of the FIVE shots do not get to the Replay-Step-Up-Coil. Greetings Rolf

The replay unit will advance only when Impulse B switch is closed AND the 25c (or 10c) relay is closed The 25c adjustment jack controls the 25c relay. Each adjustment uses a different score motor m/b switch. So the m/b switches associated with whichever jack setting you use would be a good place to start.

Or better yet, put it on free play and be done with it. Sooner or later you'll probably put it back to free play anyway. Coin operating a home game sounds cool at first but it's not what it's cracked up to be.

Thanks, you guys really understand this area. I need to spend some time to prob and learn.

Looking closely at the replay unit -- gaping and adjusting -- and the 25 cent relay, magically fixed the problem. All number of replays work now.

One minor issue: is there an adjustment for the replay count in the window? Mine is not centered between two numbers.

    Hey there! Got a moment?
