The left pop-up on my Space Mission does not score. The right one works fine. Comparing the two, I see where a leaf is missing from what is likely called the scoring switch. The manual I have says the switch is A-7459-2 part number. I'm assuming the part number has changed over the years because I see A-7459-7 listings. My problem is that I can't find either one in stock with the vendors I normally check. Any suggestions?

(This is all assuming I have to replace the whole switch and not just the missing leaf.)

I think I found it. Looks like SW-11A-35 might be the new part number.

To replace the missing leaf, see http://www.pbresource.com/pfswitch.htm#common

I ordered the SW-11A-35 as a replacement for the original A-7459-2 switch. Turns out it's 1/8" taller than the original causing it not to fit in the space properly. Since it doesn't seem to come apart I'm guessing I could grind off the extra plastic to make it fit. Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions?

Thanks

I think those switch stacks are just held together with plastic pegs. You should be able to pry it apart and adjust the bake light spacers to be the same as the old one.

I've considered that. The problem is that the extra spacing is made as part of the spoon which means the skirt plunger can't touch the spoon. The other spacing matches. I'm hoping the vendor has some suggestions before I start grinding the plastic off.

I don't understand what's meant by the wiring issue comment? The spoon sets 1/8" further below the playfield so the skirt plunger isn't long enough to reach it.
