Hello. Some trouble with Pat Hand.
The machine knows when the ball is drained, but then won't realize it has been ejected.

When I start the machine the ball will eject and then keep trying to eject it.
If the game is started with the ball ready to be shot, the machine works fine until the ball is drained.
It will then reset for the next ball and then keep trying to eject it again nonstop.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I see in this youtube videl that the Bonus should count down to zero and then advance from zero to one when the ball drains and ejects. Is that how it used to work, and is that still happening?

That is what should be happening, but it isn't counting back to one.
It might be the bonus relay that I was having problems with before.

Since it continues to kick even though the ball was already ejected, perhaps the outhole relay is not unlocking once it engages, like a score motor switch is not opening at the end of each cycle. Except for bonus not decrementing. What happens if you zero out the bonus counter by hand and then drop the ball in the outhole?

What are the Outhole relay and Bonus relay doing when this happens?

Latter part of reset cycle, from the manual:

I cleaned the outhole relay and adjusted the bonus relay, and now everything works, except for the ball drain switch, which now does nothing.

If the Outhole switch doesn't activate the Bonus relay, Inspect and diagnose this circuit with Alligator clip jumper wires

According to that circuit, I'm bypassing the outhole switch entirely and still nothing.

Would this sequence also be accurate for a Williams 1977 Big Deal?

Here is the link to the Big Deal manual: https://www.ipdb.org/files/245/Williams_1977_Big_Deal_Instruction_Manual.pdf

You can find this kind of info on IPDB; just search maker and game name, ie-Williams Big Deal.
