When I turn on the machine the gi lights work and the playfield is energized, the start button does not reset the game, and the balls do not count down. The game will go on forever. Every time the ball drains out it takes a credit then gets kicked back the out hole. I have gone through it and check every jones plug connection and made sure the switches were correct on each relay. Fuses are all good as well. Previous owner rewired it to free play that's what I was told when I picked it up. I have hit a brick wall any ideas will be great.

Quoted from Killlometer:

the start button does not reset the game

If the replay button doesn't activate the Coin relay, inspect and diagnose this circuit with Alligator clip jumper wires

When the button is pressed I can see the coin relay engage but it says engaged and nothing happens

Have you cleaned and adjusted the switches on the coin relay and the reset relay? One of the switches on the coin relay is supposed to close and cause the reset relay to pull in, and then a switch on the reset relay is supposed to close and cause the motor to run. The coin relay should not just pull in and get stuck on.

Also, the credit unit should not subtract each time the ball drains. Is the game resetting every time the ball drains? In other words, does the score reset, and/or does the ball count go back to "5 balls to play" after each ball drains?
