Williams, 1973Williams oxo. Set to 4 player, on the 3rd Ball, it’s sticks on player four and the first three players don’t get to play balls 4 and 5. tried just playing three players, and it still jumps to player four for the last two balls. Same thing happens with only two players. switched it back to a three ball game instead of 5, and it’s skips players 1-3 after the second ball....
My first thought here is something with the coin unit or ball count unit?? Any ideas
Check the operation of the coin unit. Manually rotate the coin unit disc to see if it rotates smoothly and clicks into each position. Check the position of the coin unit during a 3-player game. Does the coin unit advance one position at the start of the 4th ball?
There's an OXO schematic on IPDB.org. When the Ball Count Unit advances, its end of stroke (EOS) switch should fire the Player Reset relay, which should in turn reset the Player Unit back to player 1. Does that happen reliably?
