I have a beautiful Fish Tales with one issue I can't figure out. The lockdown bar doesn't latch. The notches in the bar tabs never get "deep enough" to get caught by the receiver.

How to I properly adjust this? Brass screws don't do it.

Thanks!

Get some pics. This might be simple if someone can see the lockdown bar and receiver.

Is the playfield aligned properly? If the two hooks/tabs at the front of the pf aren't in their holes, the glass will slide on but he lock bar wont lock.

In the first couple of pics....your lock down bar receiver appears to be mounted way too low. Did you or someone recently replace it?

Tighten in the screw or screws on the receiver.

They didn't. I'll see if there's some play in there.

Remove the glass. Lift playfield up and lean back. Put the lockdown bar on and look in there with a light. See the bar that goes back and forth and into the notches on the lockdown bar legs - is that bar moving up and down okay with the brass screw adjustments or is it only able to go back and forth ?

If it goes up and down okay but not enough, try this.

Remove screws holding the receiver in. Loosen bolts. Put lockdown bar on. Tighten bolts and put screws back in.

If that doesn't do it. You may need to make the holes on the receiver longer so you can move the receiver more.

Grab the locking handle and strongly push it in towards the game to bend it a little.

#10 8 months ago

take the set screws all the way out with the playfield up juggle the locking mec not side to side but up and down while pushing the lever close, if it catches you can look to see how far to install adj screws

This is the wrong lockbar receiver for Fish tales
You have one on there with the spring load offset arm and it has smaller mounting holes and less adjustment than the correct non spring loaded straight arm earlier version.

Thanks high_end_pins . Can you point me to the correct one at Marco or PBL?

This is the correct one
Get it from Mantis amusements because I am not sure others are selling the correct part.
It isn’t only the arm part that makes it correct it is the location and size of these holes.
