I just got a Klondike and it did not score properly when I had three hats lined up. Half of the hats on the center and left reel were dead. I read about it but nobody explained or showed how to fix this factory mistake.
My machine was missing a jumper wire on the center reel. It was missing two jumper wires on the left reel. The pictures show where I added them.
Now it works great.

You can see there were never any wires by looking at the solder area. This machine was scoring improperly for its first fifty years of operation. I suspect the next fifty years to be relatively easy to keep this one working good.
