Williams Jubilee, new to restoration not sure what to do

It's hard to see in the picture but someone who owned this before me put a big square of mylar on my playfied. The two red arrow inserts are starting to come loose and there's air between them and the mylar. The edge of the mylar is also right on the edge of the side drains so if the balls moving slow it gets hung up on the lip.

Should I attempt to remove it? Cut around the inserts and reglue them?

I might just add mylar to the sides to even it out. The mylar over the two inserts has air under it and one insert is poking through
