Have had MB in the lineup for a couple years now but it gets the least play these days. Fun game, but feels repetitive after a while like any pin. I am having a hard time pulling the trigger on swapping it out and putting the money towards an IJ. I have played IJ before, but it has been a while and I never made it very far (mode wise) playing it out in the wild so I am not certain I want to make the change. Would like to get some feedback from folks that are familiar with both pins to make it an easy transition. Thoughts?

i personally like IJ better. The 12 modes for me keeps it from becoming monotonous. The real trick for me is continouously upgrading my games. I just put superbands on my TAF and it makes a big enough difference that my scores go up immediately. IJ takes a lot of work to get it dialed in correctly and make it a great player. My good friend also owns a very nice MB so i get to occasionally play it. You'll never really know if you can live without it until you make the switch.

I like MB better but I never owned it so I can't testify to the longevity. Until you get that saucer dialed in on IJ, it is darn near impossible to get to the wizard mode.

I own them both, and I personally prefer IJ. I think it has more long term staying power, and I love the theme. Another thing is, if money is a consideration, you can get an Indy in incredible condition for less than a routed MB.

IJ lasted 2 months.....that music is great at first, really brings back memories....but soon it becomes so annoying, and coupled with a layout of shots that I don't find inspiring, hard to enjoy for very long.

IJ suffers from multiball-all-the-time syndrome... it never gets harder to start the 3ball, and the jackpots/supers are huge. Modes can be worth decent points but you really have to dial in the mode start saucer before they're even close to be worth going for. MB is repetitive, but more flowing, better music. It suffers from wizard-mode-syndrome.. the wizard modes really imbalance the scoring.

IJ is just awesome. Ton of modes path of adventure is fun along with one of if not the best wizard mode in all of pinball. MB is fun for a while but is just too damn easy. Gets old real fast.

thank you all for the feedback. i feel better pulling the trigger.

I've never cared for IJ much. There just seems to be something missing. It's a beauty of a pin, great theme, etc., but the game play just has never pulled me in, which is why I have never owned one.

MB on the other hand, is one of my favorite pins ever.

I own an IJ and have played MB enough to comment. Although both are great, if they were even money ,I would probably go with IJ ,whats that say?

It's not even close IJ is way better than MB

Looking at your collection, IJ will fill in for MB just fine. But if it was me, I would look for something that would spice up that line-up a little.
