I am doing a total restoration of my beloved ij pin. For the final step I would like to use real wood grips on the gun. Does anyone here know what kind of gun the launcher is supposed to replicate?

There were two primary revolvers used in Raiders of the Lost Ark. One was a Smith & Wesson 1917, chambered for .45 ACP from Stembridge rentals in Hollywood. The second was a Smith & Wesson Hand Ejector Model 2 (HE2) from Bapty & Co. in London.

That said I have no idea what the gun on the game is.
Maybe a gun collector would know?
