Dear Collective,

Has anyone considered replacing the 12 digit 100v alphanumeric plasma display (in the playfield) with a modern low voltage LED equivalent.
I know there are replacements for the score/credit displays, i just wondered if anyone had gone that step further.

There seems to be a conversion kit here : https://www.5mp.eu/web.php?a=digipinball&o=61sHjdIQO5

Haven't tried it, though.

I was hoping x-pin would get to this. Make sure to email him also so he knows there is interest.

I have emailed to request 2 kits, one to replace the alpha display and one to replace the 2 x score displays and the credit/match display.

i'll report back when they arrive and i have had chance to build them

Okay so the kit has arrived, doesn’t look too bad to upgrade, a few bits on the display driver board and a few bits on the I/O board and disabling the high voltage section of the PSU.

I can happily report it is a resounding success.
The work to replace the components on the I/O board and display driver board was quite straightforward.
It all worked first time too.
