just got a williams hot tip, the solid state version .the man i got it from said it did work about 5 yrs ago then quit
the playfield lights up but nothing on the backglass
i opened it up and the batteries were all corroded the bottom battery contacts were all damaged
i removed the batteries ,
the board looks good clean no corrosion
when i quickly turn it on and off then on ,the function and data lights go on then off,the scores and match and credits light up
the player one score keeps changing
as do the credits
after a short time they all go out ,and the data and or function light s go on again
the game looks clean

also do i need to replace the batteries with a new battery holder ,is this part of the problem ?
fuses are good

so it should start even with out the batteries ??

OK I looked at some videos about how to do this .do I solder the positive to one of the top battery connectors or to the bottom .and it looks like I just need to connect it to one terminal only not all three positives or negatives right? Thanks

OK got a battery holder at radio shack it holds four AA batteries.was going to just leave one battery out at the end that is farthest from the leads.need a little info is positive te top contacts on the Pinball or the bottom. And can I just solder the leads to one of the top an one of the bottom contacts ?? Thanks
