Quoted from curtisdehaven:I see on the schematic that a "coin relay" is also a potential path for the advance relay. What is that and where is it? Coin, like money? For what it's worth, this machine has been rigged not to use coins...
If you look at the snippet I posted you'll see the Coin relay at the beginning of the circuit. It likely gets its name because it processes 'coins'/credits.

But in looking back at that I see that the Make/Break switch on the Coin relay could be causing your problem. Check that it is working correctly by manually activating the plastic armature and ensuring that contact is solid on both sides.
Quoted from curtisdehaven:Also... I see that the big master reset is also activating when it fails - as if it's a new game, not just advancing during a game.
Note the Advance relay switch right in the middle. Check that is clean and properly gapped.

It's the last one on the bottom of the cabinet before the Jones plugs and that M/B sw. will be closest to the front. And the white plastic part in this pic is the armature. Here is a superb site on all phases of EMs, for newbs and experienced folks alike: http://www.pinrepair.com/em/index1

You may have to adjust the gap.
