I am supposed to pick up a gulfstream tomorrow...trying to decide if it is worth a 3 hour drive to get it. There is a good size flake on the backglass....some fairly good wear on the playfield. It seems it has about 23000 plays. Cabinet was professionally paintes 15 years ago. The playfield is also fairly dirty. Comes with the manual and schematics..... all for $250. If nothing else it can be a practice machine right? What say the masses?

Is it in working order, or not?

If there are too many cosmetic issues, I'll usually pass. Also, prior cosmetic work doesn't always tend to be as professional as described.

It's not sounding like a bargain from what you're describing. It's probably closer to a $50-$100 game.

The number of plays on the meter doesn't matter too much--condition does. Besides, that meter could have rolled over once or twice in its lifetime.

See pics for more details....

He says it works fine except for one flipper is sticking.

The worst it can be overpriced by is $250! If it brings you happiness why not.
Lockdown bar seems wonky.

Well, the photos sure look better than how I read the description.

To be fair, this game is in much better shape than the one I sold for $80 in your example.

Yep, it certainly is.

I paid twice that for mine and yours looks as nice as mine. Backglass looks pretty good most are badly flaked. Looking underside of Playfield will tell you a lot. My game had 76,000 on the counter.
