In search of a stepper unit for the 1-4 player on a Williams Grand Prix.
Game is currently only able to play 4 players.
Disc with wipers on backside is worn.
I’m wondering if I could repair the disc by floating some solder to make a better connnection?

Have you tried cleaning with metal polish? Never seen one of these actually wear through

I did clean it but did not notice how worn it was until I looked at photo. I will get a scotch bright pad and give it a better cleaning.
I have one other issue on this game that may or may not be related.
When ball goes into the right saucer and there is no bonus it will not come out most times.
When there is a bonus on right side, it will kick it out?

Check the R bonus wiper fingers for cleanliness and solid contact.

Make sure the switches are firmly seated. That's what my issue was.

clip a lead to one solder joint and the other lead to the finger that is in line with that circuits path, check continuity. that'll at least tell ya if the circuit and player unit is working correctly
