Is it high tapped? Mine hits the glass sometimes. Is it the right coil?

There are two nails in the hole that control how the ball sits. You may have to adjust those so the ball is ejected more horizontally. The nails in mine are angled a bit away from the striker.

A slow motion video with your phone can be helpful to see exactly what is happening.

Mine sits in the hole very similar to yours. I took a slow motion video, it launches with not as much air as yours does. Maybe you need an even weaker coil?

The ball hits the playfield on the 500 point insert for me.
