Hey guys,

Got a "flipping" problem and was hoping for some help.

Working on weak flippers on a Disco Fever. They are clearly under powered as compared to Youtube videos I've seen of the same machine.

I did do basic rebuild on both flippers, linkage, EOS, etc. I ran through all the mechanics of the flipper rebuild and they seem good to me. Replaced both EOS and flipper cabinet switches as well. Power supply was rebuilt including solenoid section, basically just one cap there though. I verified the full bridge rectifier is still working fine as well. Power supply voltages are all in spec.

Can anyone suggest anything to look at that I may be overlooking?

Grasping:
1. Coils aged out?
2. Although ac voltage into bridge looks okay unloaded. Perhaps loaded condition, insufficient current delivered through transformer. i.e. transformer problem?
3. Other?

Really appreciate it!

Even though you replaced EOS and flipper button switches, did you clean them ? Plenty of tension holding the EOS closed ?

Replace bridge anyway. Sometimes they can get weak.

Repin all connectors involved.

As ltg said, make sure you clean the new switches.

Thanks for the comments...

I'll rule-out or rule-in the EOS by jumpering it out and check if flipper strength improves. I'll also do the same for the flipper button cabinet switches.
