Although I can only assume this might have been kicked around here before, somebody else posted it elsewhere on another site and I found it intriguing.
Can't really hurt to share something of this matter again, haven't seen it posted here before.

Took the liberty and also linked all of the games in the criteria. If a simple 5 minutes of my time and a short post can save some wiring or even something much much more important, I figured it's worth it (even if it's been said before)!
This is my first time seeing this after being here for quite a while. I own a few games in the criteria and hope to do the mod sometime soon on all of them.
I started doing this years ago on all these games. Possibly 300 or more. On 2 occasions on a comet and pin bot this upgrade has been beneficial as the bridge shorted and blew the fuse. The trans. When it cooks releases lots of smoke or worse when the bridge shorts. Not worth the risk not to do the fuse upgrade.
I've got some nice Bridge Boards available for just this problem.
You can get them at http://bigdaddy-enterprises.com, http://www.marcospecialties.com and Eurpean people get get it directly from me.
I know adding a fuse is simple and cheap, but this Bridge Board looks so much better and adds a few extra things.
Led's to see if power is present (fuse not blown) and replaces the big cap.
Easy to install.
I can highly recommend the Inkochnito bridge board. I also think it save me a lot of headache the last time I worked on my game.
One of the fuses blew, but that should really have been one of the bridge rectifiers.
Super easy to install, from a great guy.

Good day . Peter can you update in this thread how to properly protect Sega / Data East titles with motors like Tommy and Frankenstein please ? Also which Sega and Data East titles require supplemental protection . Lots new blood in the hobby may not have read about potential fire hazard. Enjoy the day ! Shane
