Quoted from Fixer837:

That's to bad same happened to me when I removed Mylar from a NOS Fire! Playfield.

that's 2 cases of it not working out. Bummer, I thought I could get away with it, I might be buying a CPR playfield after all (Another title that likely will never leave).

Quoted from Lonzo:

Tracing the clear area, I cut out a piece of Lexan with some overlap onto the brown area. I leave the protective coating on it until the final install to protect the Lexan. When the covering is removed, it will be crystal clear like the ramps that were built earlier.

Or you could buy the reinforcement brackets I made:

Quoted from Lonzo:

This topper is not for the purist as you have to cut two holes in the top of the backbox. I don't really care since I am not in it for the money and don't plan on selling the machine.

I see you likely bought these for the flames:

It's a shame you cut holes in the top of the cabinet. You could have raised it slightly off the top surface (so air could flow underneath), and hid them with a bezel of buildings in front of it. Still very cool that you figured out circuitry to get them to activate during certain modes.
