He got me a quote, financially it makes more sense to run as many will fit on a standard sheet (I can get 9 sets on a 24" x 24" sheet). Looking at about $40 per set (both sides) in 1/16" aluminum. I've got a PET sheet and a scroll saw so I should be able to make the clear platforms myself. 4 sets are already spoken for (myself and a local friend, and 2 PM's), if anyone else is still interested PM me.
I've trimmed a little bit of one piece, and I've added extra mounting holes. Parts come in next tuesday afternoon, I'll post pics when I get them installed. I'll try to write up installation instructions too.
Fixer...that looks great. I wish I had access to some of those decals. Would love to redo my cab. Keep up the great work and keep us posted.
Also got a fire, bought it in 1995 and it's still running great. Did a major cleanup in 2012 with new plastics (bought the plastic set mentioned earlier in this topic) , stickers, rubbers and lights (no led).
Only thing I'm still looking for is the 50.000 break thru window decal/sticker. If someone knows where I can buy it I would appreciate it.
I'll likely be picking a Fire up soon. My uncle owned one for over 10 years and my aunt wants to sell it since he passed away a couple years back. My uncles Fire is one of the first, could be the first, pinball machines I ever played so it will be pretty cool and special to have that particular machine in my collection.
Quoted from bdaily1983:I'll try to remember to take some pics tonight if nobody beats me to it.
Would you be kind enough to post a pic of left and right fipper switch stack? One side of mine is wrong I think.
Much thanks,
jeff
Pricing: Pieces cost me slightly more because they don't usually charge me tax (but they are now, must have changed policies), and paypal will take their cut. They fit in a small flat rate box, so shipping will be $5.80. So total if you want a set let's call it $50 shipped. Unless you specify, I will leave them unsanded and unpainted, but perfectly willing to hand sand with 400 grit and then spray them black and clear them if that's what you want for no charge. Those that have PM'd me I will be sending out invoices. I haven't painted mine yet because I wanted to be sure the fit was good. FYI: all the holes you see in the corners are meant to be self-tapping holes for a 4-40 machine screw.
Here's pics of them installed:

Video showing the ball going through the holes (the metal is giving it a swirly EATPM drop now)
Well I made 9 sets, but they went quick. Here is the list of spoken for (in order of PM):
1. me
2. chadh
3. loren3233
4. fixer837
5. bdaily1983
6. pyromedic
7. wolftownjeff
8. gabegabegabe
9. imeh
10. arcademan1
11. donjagra
12. silver_bullet
I can always run another 9 sets, but I'll need 8 more commitments before I pull the trigger since there is upfront cost.
Here's the instructions so you have a clear idea of what you're into for installing:

I've sent out the paypal requests and have gotten responses and paid by everyone with the exception of one (so there may be one available to #10 for this first run). Those that requested black, I will try to get those sanded, sprayed and cleared today, if you have not specified I will assume you want them bare.
Hopefully I can get all of these shipped out tomorrow.
Everything shipped today, I have sent tracking number to everyone via paypal. There are 3-4 interested in another run. When I hit 6-7 I will make another run. Thanks everyone for making this possible.

anyone here can help me with the above ? or can someone make a high res scan ?
If you need a commitment to make more sets, I'd be in for a set. I don't have a Fire! now, but I had 2 in the past, and I think it will be back in the future.
If it helps get them made for those that need them now, I'd be in.

Quoted from Fixer837:Anyone have a champagne edition could take a couple pics for me please
sure, let me know what you need.
here is a link to a few photos i already have uploaded, in case they help.
Gabe thanks so much I got what I needed from those pics. I am doing a full restoration of a regular edition but I am turning it into a champagne. I finally came up with an insert but relays missing. I found couple of those they are on the way but I had no idea wire locations any manuals I found were no help.....haven't been able to locate one specifically for a champagne.....
Beautiful !....That's going to be awesome when it's done...Question: Will you be putting a new CPR PF in it? We are doing the FIRE! PF next.....
Stu.....um YES!!!! Patiently waiting......getting harder to wait now that cabinet is completely done : )
Well, we bumped the next 2 Backglasses so that we could do the Fire! Playfield next.....Whitewoods are done, Inserts are glued in, and they are ready for Production.....Shouldn't be too long now.....

Here is a peek at my work in progress....

I had all the metal cabinet trim, and most metal pieces that can be seen in the playfield done in brass by a company in KC. it is more of a brushed antique look than shiny new brass. They also buffed and reshined my bell, then they put a nice durable clear on all pieces.
Quoted from Stu:I made my own....
I assume you scanned your cabinet and touched up, or did you buy the stencil kit and scan each layer?
I scanned a buddys game, then Vectorized my own graphics and printed them out on 3M Premium Vinyl with UV Resistant Inks (PMS Color Matched) and then had them Laminated with a Satin Finish Clear Adhesive for protection, then I cut them all by hand with an X-acto and applied.....This was 2 years Prior to the kits being available

Just got a Fire! Still folded in the garage, and its a bit of a project, but I finally have one. Will be interesting to see what happens when I first boot it up!
I'm in for a set of those supports Toyotaboy, I have PM'd you. Great work. The ingenuity of the pinball community amazes me daily!

I'm up to 7-8 requests for the next set, so I'm probably going to pull the trigger soon. For those that already received the brackets, any troubles with the installation?
Guys,
Just wanted to let everyone know that the New CPR Repro FIRE! Playfield "will" be the Correct version NOT a duplicate of the so-called NOS ones floating around on eBay. I know these ones on eBay sell for around $650 but keep in mind that these were the "Rejected by Williams" Playfields and were shelved for many years, only to surface recently in the Disguise as NOS, but they are not (well I guess technically they are But they were the Rejected Boards ). An easy way to tell the Difference is the "Primary Background" on the Rejected Playfields is BLACK > Not BROWN. Williams changed the "Production" Playfields to the Brown Background, which is the version we are producing at CPR.....
Below is a Comparison Photo with the Correct Brown version on the Right & the Williams Rejected Black version on the Left...
Our Request List is now Closed as we are currently In Production of the Fire! Playfield....

Huh. That is pretty interesting. All of the Fire! machines I have owned have the black background.
Chris
Chris, If your referring to the picture you posted, thats actually the Brown version....look at the background around the Flippers.....the Black should be Above the Yellow/Gold Lines where the West Side & East Side Inserts are......
