I finished restoring my Cyclone today. As part of this project, I swapped the playfield.

So, when I turn the game on, the game kicks the pinball out into the shooter lane. I then send the ball up the playfield with the plunger, and then it goes into the ball trough and it stays there until I press the start button to activate a game. Everything works fine from that point on.

Any ideas why it would cause the ball to kick out when turning the game on?

Thanks for your help.

If it was okay before the swap. I'd go over your work. Switch wired wrong somewhere ? Switch stuck closed somewhere ? Switch shorting to ground somewhere ?

Ok, I will check it out and report back tomorrow. Thank you LTG.

So, I checked the switch where the pinball sits in the ball trough and it looked ok, but I adjusted it. It might have been slightly off. That fixed the issue.

Thanks for your help LTG.

I have a similar issue. I have a Williams F-14 Tomcat and while a ball is in play, one to two balls will get kicked into the shooter lane. Since the plunger is not strong enough to push both pinballs into the playfield, I have to remove the glass. Anyone had something like this happen? I did replace the the display with an LED 11AB. Don't see the connection, but who knows.

Thanks

The switch in the drain seems to be an issue in Cyclone. My switch was slighty bend to one side and was stucked sometimes wich made the hole game go totaly bananas. After a long time of troubleshooting but very easy mechanical adjustment the game went perfect again.
