I'm repainting the cabinet on my Pinbot and just got the black done and was getting ready to do the yellow and red or is it orange and was wondering if anyone had a close match paint number to the original colors. They don't need to be perfect as I'll be repainting it all just looking for a close starting point. I figured i could try matching close to whats there, but some spots look orange and other more red.

What did you use for the black?

This RGP post is from 10 years ago, so I'm not sure not sure if it is still relevant ...

Black is Black, I'm using acrylics and clearcoating over it

Thanks, I'll check that thread out.

I found a .pdf for the stencil kit that references the same Krylon colors as the RGP thread:

Since you aren't using stencils, I'm guessing spray paint colors may not be all that helpful.

Yeah unfortunately it hasn't been alot of help as i can't seem to find any conversion chart. But at least it gives me an idea of what colors are close enough that it will look right. The red that is on the game almost looks orange on the front and the BB, but red on the sides of the cabinet. I think I can get it from that info though. Thanks, again

I wish you hadn't put up that stenciling site as I been kicking myself lately thinking I should have gone that route for sure!

I respectfully disagree with you, there. Unless you're repainting the entire area (or cabinet), black can be very difficult to match. An improper black touchup can be pretty obvious.

I believe he is indeed repainting the entire thing.

I think the gloss, semi-gloss aspect to the color is what makes it hard to match, but I guess I could be wrong.

Doot, I read some where on a forum that Williams Black Knight used the same paint colors as Pinbot. On Pinball Pal's site they have rgb color codes for Black Knight Here.
http://pinballpal.com/colors/
That really didn't help me to much, but there is a lot of good info on painting there.

Took my Backbox to Sherwin Williams and had them scan the colors.
I think they came out pretty good.
I can give you the color codes off of them when I get home.
The yellow was a stock color that we just tinted a little.

Can't show you what they look like on the machine, because I haven't painted it yet.
Has just been to humid here lately.
Planning on painting the black tomorrow.

Thanks Chip, but I just picked a yellow and red that looked close because it didn't really need to be exact as I'm going to paint the entire area not just spot touch. Good luck with your repaint job!
