Hi guys
My Williams 90s pin making squicky noise after shutdown
How can i fix this?
Thx
Quoted from Hayfarmer:Can you describe the squick?
Flip switch to off.
"Baarroooo - Pop!" from the speakers.

Exactly, then the sub makes a loud sound too.
How to fix that as well?
Want to hear the most annoying sound in the world when you turn off your machine? Replace your LM323K voltage regulator with an EzSBC LM323K switching voltage regulator. It sounds worse than the attached clip.
Quoted from Paseb:Bump, anyone with a fix?
My IJ did the same thing. Caps on sound board are wearing out from age if boards are original. I bought a Pinsound board and got rid of my pop shut off on my TZ and IJ.
Besides, downloaded speech and music on those boards are incredible. I’ll never go back to crappy stock.
Upgrade those speakers while you’re at it.

Good idea, but theyre are no mix for roadshow and dirty harry.
I have pinsound on my getaway with new speakers.
Quoted from Pin_Fandango:is the game grounded properly?
is the power box built, thermistor, varistor, etc?
Sorry, that’s Chinese for me...

probably won't solve it anyway but sometimes a lot of these noises come from improperly grounded electronics.
With that said a lot of these 90s games make buzzing noises, pops, etc when on and off so I would not sweat it... but if it was my game, I would take a look at the power box and find out if it is wired correctly, if polarity is correct, if the EMI filter is installed, if the thermistor and varistor are correct for the voltage (110) etc... if these are correct, and you still want to remove that pop, as already mentioned, the cause it is most likely at the sound board.

I like it, as long as someone makes an improvement on the original sound, it's usually the way to go...I've put it on almost all my machines...RS is a good mix too
