Williams, 1976Almost done with my William's space odyssey. Last issue I'm having is bonus counting 1-3k more than it should and double bonus count 3x-4x instead of 2x. Any ideas? Checked switches on score motor, on bonus unit, 1000 point relay bonus relay and double bonus relay, adjusted when needed, but still stuck.
As the bonus is counting down, watch the Bonus Unit carefully to make sure that it makes a clean single step each time its Reset solenoid is pulsed. If it fails to step occasionally you'll get extra bonus. Also, check that the Zero Position switch opens and the Bonus relay relaxes when the Bonus Unit reaches the Zero/Reset position.

Runs smooth the whole way but when it gets to the zero position, the relay is still energized and the step down solenoid is still pumping in 3's or 5's

I think you said you checked this already, but it definitely sounds like the bonus unit zero position switch isn't opening. Once the bonus relay fires, it's going to stay energized forever trying to reset until that switch opens.

Were you having this problem originally? In your first post it sounded more like it counted down and stopped, but it was just scoring too many points along the way.
