This genuinely confuses me. If theme matters, wouldnt the playfield art for said theme matter? Some of the chipping is minor and can be covered by a washer. Some cant and it will likely only get worse as you continue to play. So if the cab and glass were a theme you like and the playfield was just a whitewood, you are ok with that? I think games are meant to be played and damage will happen eventually, but I also payed for the licensed art. I have a heavily routed Shrek and even though it has more than 100K plays on it, the playfield is damn near perfect. I dont think anyone here is complaining that after 20K plays it isnt perfect, but if its like that after 20?
