Came upon this and found it interesting. Wondered if pinball too will suffer the same fate.

Comparing pinball to comics is hardly apples-to-apples. However, if you are buying pinball machines as an investment strategy you might belong in a comic book.

can't put a comic book on location and have it generate money.

Bad analogy, it was an interesting article though.

and I play a pins over and over....wouldn't be the same for a comic book.

It was also an interesting discussion here yesterday.

I think one of the only parallels between comics and pinball is that all-original, super-mint examples of either are the most expensive and highly sought after.

When others buy, it's time to sell. When others sell, it's time to buy.

Each and every collectible item in the world has its ups & downs. Absolutely nobody can predict which direction the market will effect there specific item in the future.
I think its a pretty safe bet that Honus Wagner good/mint condition baseball cards and any of the SS100 Brough Superior Motorcycles once owned by T E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) are going to do pretty well in the future......but even these treasures are subject to the whims of the market place.

    And you would know!

We already have a thread on this same topic that was started yesterday. I see no reason for there to be two, so I'm closing this one down. The other thread can be found here:
