    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

During the last recession prices didn't drop, people just held on to their stuff like the hoarding bastards pinball people are.

This made me laugh because of the hoarding comment!

    Quoted from LargemouthAss:

My minor quibble with this is that the 20-somethings of today might love playing pinball but do they love it as the flavor of the month? Will they still love it in 5 years? Will the millenials rent larger apartments or *gasp* buy houses that can fit pinball machines?
The future of pinball does look bright but the future of the pinball market is still quite uncertain.

Arcade games and pinball are a weird separate universe to me.

I mean they seem timeless. The newer crowd will desire a dead pool. Nib today, in ten years? Obtainable still. Hopefully.

This market is unlike other markets though. Resale is much higher than other products. It seems.

For me it passion not profit, but I'd like a little of both.

A very strong pulse. We are at the the heart of it, I believe.

    Quoted from Honch:

There is no mythical bubble and this hobby has a pulse so strong that it will take many years to slow down till we could ever truly expect to see a significant drop in prices. Of course a recession could change all that, but that's a whole other story.
I must admit, I was a very serious buyer during the economic downturn in 07/08 and I dont recall even the slightest drop in prices anywhere. I'm not arguing that these deals and liquidations of collections didnt happen, but I sure as Hell didnt find any anywhere. It wasnt for lack of trying either.

We are standing in the golden age of pinball. Deals abound, but the sky is very far from falling. IMO.

There will be winners and losers, but overall.

We are in that golden age and I'm loving it.
