You can disable the glove, but you're going to get real burnt out on video mode quickly. It's not that difficult to repair if you go slow, take photos, etc. - generally mechanical.

But FWIW, it's one of the better video modes. Beatable, but requires skill. Valuable both points wise and you can earn an eb. Just not much to look at and doesn't make any sense in the context of the theme.
As far as video modes go, one of my favorites - but it showing up relatively quickly every game was ultimately what forced my hand in rebuilding the glove.
