I have played pinball all my life. I have seen it decline to obscurity. All my friends could care less but I love it. It is not my life or my only passion but one of many. It will always be a niche thing to own and it's very complicated to fix for an average consumer and there are no repair guys in the yellow pages anymore. There will be no market collapse if remakes are made. The only thing that could happen is some of these company's will close down and someone else will fill the void. Nintendo came out and built an empire from the ashes of the video game crash in the 80's. Then Sega joined, then turbo grafix and neo-geo and so on. Sega closed years later (home consoles) and Sony and Microsoft filled the void. If Stern goes out of business and JJP then we are ALL left looking for a new game and someone will fill the void because there is money to be made. The most important thing no one is mentioning is that competition brings invention. For video game players look at what happened to Madden football when E.A. got exclusive rights to the NFL license. They made the same game every year with only very minor improvements.
