I hit the Giant yesterday, bought a few things to last maybe 2 or 3 days, and paid $186 and change! Normally would have been maybe $60-80. Damn right my pinball buying will slow down if this crap doesn't soon cease! Our family is blessed to be well above average income, but the increase in prices still hurts. I truly feel bad for people less fortunate who must be really having a hard time making ends meet.

Somebody said whoever controls the numbers controls the narrative, or something like that. In any case, I don't need a bunch of dubious graphs to tell me what's going on. Every time I go to the grocery store my bill is significantly higher than it was a year ago. And my buying habits have not significantly changed. It takes more money to buy the same stuff I have always bought. No graph is going to change that for me.
