WIFI UPDATES HD_R (resized).jpg
#1 2 years ago

Hi all. We just released a new version of System Manager and Launcher with new network features. If your P3 is network-connected (using the built-in WiFi adapter - no additional cost), Launcher and System Manager will both identify new apps and new updates, and System Manager will give you the option to install them over the network.

There are a number of other features that make sending logs and installing your own apps a breeze as well.

You'll need to install this new System Manager (3.1.0.0) via USB, but after that you can stop buying new USB drives every time you misplace one.

It's been a slow process for p3 but you guys are making things happen now.

Very nicely done.

I don't know that I've ever been this excited to install a system manager update! Looking forward to leaving my USB drives in the past.

I just installed it. system menu has a new look, not much different just updated
Here is the cool thing. So I thought I had updated all the apps, modules, games etc a few weeks ago. I update to this new version for wifi app updates/install. And I reboot, then see barnyard has a yellow star for an update! go to sys manager, run build, run install boom...barnyard is good to go...

DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO OPEN THE COIN DOOR.
Now on route, yes you'd lock that out and would need coin door access, but for home use.. holy guacamole this is so @#$@#$@# AMAZING

Hah!

With 13 games and 3 system apps, and with a lot more games and features in the pipeline, your WiFi card will be shuffling lots of bits across the airwaves soon enough. Until then, keep it warm with multi-player CCR and with the Heads Up! game I'm about to share with you for your demo at the York show!
