I'm surprised no one has brought up the "Easier to ask forgiveness than permission"
I include my wife in all my pinball purchases (including spare parts) unless it's a decision that needs to be made in a hurry, then I tell her ASAP and she trusts my decisions.
Honesty is key......26 years of marriage talking here.......
