I'm having some oddball flipper issues in my TAF. I can't recreate them intentionally and they're not happening often enough to zone in on the issue. Was wondering if anyone has ideas.

Right flipper is occasionally very weak and can't make the ramp, but mostly it's good.

Then right flipper started dropping occasionally. Like you'd be cradling the ball and the flipper would just lose power.

Then later the same thing from upper left flipper.

Now the upper left flipper is occasionally double flipping.

But nothing will outright fail.

Coils are good. Switches are gapped right. No broken or breaking wires at either of these flippers.

Is there some common component that routes power to all flippers individually, like maybe an IC somewhere, that could be in the process of failing?

Quoted from Grizlyrig:

Could be that BR1 is on it's way out. Here is a decent read on what to look for.

Thanks Mike, this looks like a good lead! I'll examine this this afternoon!

I replaced BR1 and the connectors on the supplementary flipper board. No luck. Then I figured why not replace the cap and fuses. They seemed fine, but why not? That seemed to do the trick. Maybe one of those things was starting to fail structurally with age.
