Can't believe no one mentioned Williams 1979 Laser Ball,kidding it falls into the void of nothingness
however Atari, Bally and Gottlieb all had massive amounts in the early 80's. Most were large voids of nothingness, but that was the trend "lets make massive machines with virtually nothing to do".
I do love Steve Ritchie's Atari 77'Airborne Avenger though. SEGA also made Cha-Cha-Cha let us remember. Even classic Stern's like Flight 2000, Cheetah, Freefall, etc are widebody.
I learned from ipdb.org that Hankin made around 350 sweet looking Widebodies of Empire Strikes Back. Now I just need to find one.
