You got it! Simplicity and game play are super fun. Since bells and whistles did not amount up to much back in the day, design, creativity and enginuity centered mostly on game play instead of the sound and lite show. Funny how without all that bling, the game keeps drawing you back for just one more game.

Does anyone remember the post below?

"Every EM is the same stupid game. Put 3 pop bumpers in the center on the flattest possible surface with a bunch of misc targets and some crappy targets and add some chime sounds and you have a winner. EM's only existed because technology didnt exist to do better."

I guess one could say what with the EM trend these days is, "If you're talking about technology towards the fun factor or game play, when will it show up?"

Quoted from o-din:

I agree. Except I am finding that the more EMs there are to play, the less the DMD machines are even getting turned on. So be it....

Here as well! I find it a little funny that one wants to play a 30 minute game on a game of the same playfield dimensions as an EM. I know deeper rulesets take more time to explore but how many repetitive shots do you need before you're bored out of your mind!
