Quoted from jar155:I got through The Battle of Five Armies on ball one last night and got through it again on ball 3. I honestly feel no need to ever play this game again. It's beautiful, it has amazing sound, the LED usage is possibly the best ever in pinball, but it's a slog of a game. Over an hour for a 3-ball game, and I let ball three go at one point to just drain out. Anything else they add to it at this point is just another bullet point. It's an insanely simple layout, it has easy shots, and you're in multiball 75% of the time. It's feels like homework.
I have to imagine that when an owner gets good at the game and sees it all, there's little desire to go through it much more. If there was more of a challenge or a more fun layout, things might be different. And for those that are going to cry foul, this particular machine has been tweaked to be harder too. We use it in league and were tired of long waits on it, so we made it more difficult intentionally.
I guess you could try to get to Five Armies 3 times.
