TH has been a steady decliner price wise and also a steady flow of FS ads for the past year at least.

Part of the issue right now is people have taken a HUGE hit on their purchase if they are going to sell it.

The number that's currently "on the market" is irrelevant. A steady flow for sale before and after today.

I imagine sales will pick up steam as POTC starts to ship, and for even lower prices.

There are a few people that like it but like others have said, way too many other MUCH BETTER pins to spend your $$ on.

Quoted from xTheBlackKnightx:

Fundamentals of Economics - "Market shift"
Definition:
A shift of the demand or supply curve to the left or right, often as the result of events external to the particular market; a change in the quantity demanded or quantity supplied at a given price.
This case demand is waning with soft sales, and NIB TH games are still readily available.
For different versions of the same game, really does not help matters for retention of value.
This is not exclusive to the title, TH, but all present new and used pinball machines, except rare prototypes.

And the game sucks.

Good God, you're funny.

Funny isn’t the only word I’d use

There’s at least a handful of people that agree

On a positive note. Onward and upward. Bring on POTC !

For all the blah blah blah back and forth, whether you like it or not it doesn’t matter.

The point of the thread is simply that anybody that wants to pick up a TH right now can get it in low $6k’s

The supply of people that like it and want one are dwindling and with MUCH better newer titles coming out there will always be a supply a lower prices

Honestly that seems like a lot of money for a hobbit. Game should Hoover in the 4s.

Give it some time, it’ll get there!

Here is part of the BIG problem for TH

It came after Woz, which is 10x better and basically Jack stating we want Woz to be the worst pin we make as we improve with each one. Didn’t happen, it drug out, movies sucked too, became irrelevant, other pins came out, etc

And then JJP puts out DI and now POTC, so it’s the ugly stepchild in the group and most people want the other pins

Is the hobbit any good? No. It’s fucking great! (cue the dollar shave club song Karate by Kennedy)

You must be from NC State or Duke Goronic!

Judging from your avatar I get it. Glad you love it. I love a few pins that get a lot of hate too

Quoted from thewool:

This thread is valid, code is only luke warm at the moment, it's good but not special like some of Keith's other gems. I have faith in him though, in time it'll be right.

I've asked this before, how can the code be only "luke warm" years later?

Keith and Lyman are the best and its not even close. Did DI get all the love and attention? I mean its been years, TH was announced in late 2012!

Really good to see JJP make it through that tough stretch.

There are people that will always love TH and DI. The demand for TH is really SLOW. Give it a while for DI and the same thing will happen, price drops on the secondary market.

They might be the greatest pins ever to some people. That's great. It should never be about the $$$, its a hobby.

We are going to get F ed on our high priced pins we buy NIB in the after market. If you don't like it, don't buy or grab a jar of vaseline to help ease the pain when you go to sell.
