I have many high end games in my collection, and my Hobbit is among the best...it has a deep rule set, incredible sound, incredible graphics, love the theme, and overall one my favorite games....game play is great on this game...

Quoted from jgentry:I don't know if anyone paid that much or not but many of the hobbits were not pre orders and several dealers on pinside had Smaug editions listed NIB for 9-9.5K when they first started shipping depending on what options you got. If I remember correctly the standards were 8K, LE's 8.5K and Smaug LE was 9K and up depending or radcals and if anything else was added.
The Hobbit is well worth the money especially compared to the crap Stern is putting out these days (and yes I have several)....out of all my high end games its the game that gets played the most.
