    Quoted from Psw757:

Seen him over 20 times in concert and it’s a very wide age demographic and probably one of the craziest tailgates you’ve ever seen from 40’ boats on trailers in the parking lot to high end motor coaches and swimming pools in the back of trucks.

    Quoted from Psw757:

Go to a show, get there at about 8am and you will very quickly understand.
It’s funny, I’ve taken at least 4-5 people to a show with us and they were instantly converted. It’s friggin mad insane!

I have to admit... I got dragged to a Buffett show by some hardcore fans and there's really no other concert experience like it in the hundreds if not thousands of shows I've seen. First they told me we were bringing a grill and a keg and aiming to get there by 10am for an evening show. Then we kept getting passed on the highway by minivans with shark fins and crazy people hanging out the windows. The parking lot was a zoo by noon, people sharing drinks and food and wandering around like nutjobs. Fucking truckloads of sand dumped to make beaches -- in Camden, New Jersey of all places! It was quite the day. Honestly, I could see going just to tailgate and then heading home when the show starts.

I don't own any of his albums, the only two songs I adore are "Pirate Looks at Forty" and "God's Own Drunk" but there's no getting around the appeal of the theme to a wide variety of people who are, shall we say, pinball aged. I could see them selling particularly well to resorts and beach town hangouts where they'd pull quarters out of pockets like crazy and still have a good resale value down the road.

    Quoted from fosaisu:

No love for his best tune, "My Head Hurts, My Feet Stink, and I Don't Love Jesus"? It's right up there with Johnny Cash doing "Sunday Morning Coming Down" on the hangover playlist.

If only the last track had made it on the record...
