Another EM? GOOD! A cleared, rebuilt, polished, tweaked (and dare I say stealth-LED'd) EM is the best thing on earth. Following.

Quoted from Whysnow:

Any tips on how to clean up the metal backbox door?

Sandblast and powder coat the whole thing. Snazzy.

Quoted from Chitownpinball:

Who DOESNT want a fireball classic? Its arguably the best EM out there.

I would argue that. But not here.

Quoted from Whysnow:

If anyone has thoughts on what to do for powder coat then please share them.
I would love to brain storm ideas if anyone wants to toss them out.

For the back door? Dark grey hammer tone (sometimes called silver vein - has a textured look).

A professionally cleared sparkling EM playfield is a wonderful thing to behold.

Patience, my friend. It is only tedious when one focuses upon the hurry-up-and-play aspect.

Don't cheat yourself out of some high-quality mindfulness...

..."the process is the game".

Smoooov... where'd you get a whole cab done?

#59 6 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

Friend that does great work. He has a body shop but ocassionally does side pinball stuff.
This turned out amazing! Clearcoat is so tits!

We really need to establish a pinball + body shop alliance in every city. Chuck's (@ckcsm) Surfer cab was done in automotive paint & cleared and... whoo man... was it ever luxurious.

Gotta be careful from now on, though. Fear of scratches has kept me from going there... thus far...

Just ordered a new batch of LED's for Skyrocket (it's getting the stealth LED treatment). I received this with the receipt... it was created by one of their customers...

Yesterday
All my machines seemed so dark and grey
Incandescents have become passé
My LEDs, came yesterday

Suddenly
I'm now using half the energy
No more shadows left that I can see
My LEDs, came suddenly

Old bulbs, had to go
And I'll throw, them all away
Bright-ness, is so strong
I don't long, for yesterday

Yesterday
It was something I could barely play
Now I'll need more hours in every day
My LEDs, are here to stay

My LEDs, are here to stay

ROFL!!!

I’ll admit I was a little leery about the powder coat announcement but it turned out great! I think I’ll refer to you for my powder coat decisions in the future because your Fish Tales blended color was also top notch!

BTW was good to see you at TPF! Find any new favorites there?

I... er... I like Meteor but the games I brought were Skyrocket and Old Chicago.

Ah, now I see the comma. A bit exhausted after 8 hours of packing... Roanoke ahoy!

Anyway, enjoying the thread! Looks like it will be a spectacular game.

Well done! Pardon the delay... lots of work going on at ye olde Roanoke pinball farm.

I wanna see more pics!
